A small introduction
I built it around a few things that have helped me. I hope some of them help you too.
Your week
Choose the days you want to keep planned here. You can use it for work, personal life, or a mix of both.
How it works
Planner settings
Choose the hours you actually want to see, then use restrained category colors to scan the day quickly.
This only changes the visible schedule range. Your saved days remain local.
Choose the days you normally plan. Week view shows these days, and Close day skips inactive days when suggesting what comes next. You can still open and schedule any date.
Choose from three distinct palettes. Archived categories stay available here for history and restoration.
Category
Name the project or area, then choose a color that reads clearly at a glance.
Close day
Review what is still open. Choose what should be carried forward. For past days, the default destination is today; scheduled items keep their time.
Unresolved
Plan puts an item on a date. Keep stores it safely without a date. Drop removes it from Unresolved without erasing its history.
Day closed
Give the next day a little direction now, or leave it for tomorrow.
Install app
Install Daily Planner on this device for a focused, app-like experience that also works offline.
10 days closed
If the planner is becoming useful to you, you can support continued open-source development.
Confirm
This action cannot be undone.
Reopen day
The decisions made when you closed it will be undone: copied tasks and schedule blocks are removed from their destination, and anything kept in Unresolved returns here. You can close the day again when you are ready.
Schedule statistics
Local data
This permanently removes every saved day, category and planner setting stored by this app in this browser. This cannot be undone after deletion.
Local saving
The planner can still be used for this session, but changes may not survive a refresh or closing the tab. Check privacy/storage settings or export anything important.
Import backup
This will add the days and settings found in your backup to this browser.
Daily Planner
This planner is local-first: your daily plans stay in this browser unless you export them.
View the project on GitHub, report an issue, or sponsor continued development.
The planner stores its settings and daily plans in browser localStorage. Clearing site data can remove it. Private browsing usually keeps it only for that private session, and privacy tools can block site storage.
Checking local saving…
Give one outcome visual priority, then keep only two other important outcomes. The hierarchy should remain obvious at a glance.
Click an empty slot to create a block. Click an existing block to edit it. Hold briefly and drag to move it; resize from the lower edge. The calendar action beside a task schedules that specific item. Start and End accept typed times or 15-minute menus, and a block can cross midnight for up to 24 hours.
Categories can represent projects or areas of life. Choose from three distinct color palettes, then archive a category when it is no longer active: its historical blocks keep their identity, but it disappears from new planning. Archived categories remain visible in Settings and can be restored. Day and Week statistics are derived from scheduled blocks.
Settings lets you choose the hours you want visible and the days you normally plan. Week view shows those planning days side by side; Close day uses them to find the next planning day. Inactive days are never blocked — you can still open or schedule them manually.
Every unfinished item can go to a specific date, be Kept safely without a date in Unresolved, or be Dropped. The carried count and original date remain attached so repeated postponement stays visible.
Horizon keeps the year visible without turning it into another task manager, using a yearly rhythm inspired by Jesse Itzler: one Misogi period, three meaningful commitments, up to six Mini-adventures, quarterly Winning habits and significant Key dates grouped in the Year map. Winning habits are checked when you close the day; their activity stays available on demand.
Search scans saved planner days. Press F outside a text field. Fit app to width enlarges only this planner — it never changes browser zoom for the rest of your domain.
Picture-in-Picture keeps a compact editable Plan / Schedule view while you work elsewhere. Print is optimized for a landscape planner sheet and hides editing controls.
Use your browser’s install action when it is available. On iPhone or iPad in Safari, use Share → Add to Home Screen. In Chromium browsers, look for Install app in the address bar or browser menu. The installed app uses the same local planner data and can work offline after the production app has been loaded once.
